Insolvency (Law no. 85/2014)
The judicial procedure for companies that cannot pay their debts. The assets are sold through an auction organized by the insolvency practitioner, under the supervision of the court.
Enforcement sale
Applies when the debtor does not voluntarily comply with a court decision. The court bailiff seizes and sells the assets through auction. See, for example, vehicles from enforcement sales.
Bank collateral
When the debtor does not repay the loan, the bank enforces the collateral by selling the mortgaged or pledged asset. Usually through a direct sale or an auction organized by the bank.
Which offers the best prices?
Insolvency, after several rounds of price reductions. Bank collateral offers market prices, but they are negotiable. Enforcement sales vary. Compare the offers in the catalog.
